We purchase our livestock from our local livestock auction market, John Swan Limited in St Boswells and from tried and trusted local farmers.

We are very fortunate to have Scottish Borders Abattoir in Galashiels less than 10 miles away who slaughter our livestock. This helps enormously with keeping food miles for the majority of our produce to an absolute minimum; a rare occurance in this day and age.

This has the added benefit of reducing the time livestock must travel to slaughter helping to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare.
